Self-service has become an indispensable aspect of modern library services, catering to today's patron needs for efficiency and autonomy. The Ruby™ RFID Self-Service Unit is the embodiment of ergonomic design and ease-of-use in RFID-based self-service devices. Its modular architecture provides libraries with the flexibility to adapt to evolving identification technologies, thereby future-proofing their service offerings.

Boasting a compact design, the Ruby™ RFID Self-Service Unit is equipped with a vibrant 22” touchscreen PC and an integrated barcode patron card reader, making it an intuitive and user-friendly solution.

The pre-installed software supports diverse library functions, such as check-out, check-in, and renewals, and integrates effortlessly with the Library Management System (LMS) via SIP2. Significantly, the software includes an email service for digital transaction updates, reducing print receipt dependency. Yet, it can also support an external printer for physical records if needed.
